Little Acorns Nursery is a large purpose built building with space for 26 children AM and 26 children PM. We provide 30 hour and 15 hour places.

We have a large outdoor area for continuous provision. Children explore their environment both inside and outside everyday.  Children learn through play and are encouraged to be curious, independent and enthusiastic about their daily learning. Nursery children work closely with Reception Classes and participate in the whole school reading scheme Read Write Inc.

Throughout the Nursery year children explore a variety of themes which include

Wonderful me! (How am I special?)

Festivals and Celebrations (How do we celebrate?)

Traditional Tales (Are fairytales real?)

Spring time (How can we spot the signs of spring?)

Amazing Animals (How can we care for these animals?)

Explorers (Where will go?)

Themes and topics are subject to change and dependent on the children’s interests.
