Throughout our Reception year we answer many ‘I wonder why questions’. We start the year learning ‘All about me’ and looking at our local area. We then look at many celebrations from around the world and find answers to the question, ‘I wonder why our world is full of colour!’ We look at many traditional tales and fairytales in our topic ‘Once upon a time’ and then go out of this world for our next topic as we study space and think about how we can look after our environment. We finish the year thinking about how things grow and visiting the far away continents of Africa, Australia and Antartica.

We use Continuous Provision everyday both indoors and outdoors to teach the EYFS curriculum. We use the Read, Write Inc programme for our English lessons and Mastering Number to support our Maths learning.
